Whipped Cream Berry Bites are the perfect dessert for your next summer gathering.
Who’s ready for the Fourth of July? Me, that’s who. I’m ready for family and friend get-togethers where drinks are passed around and our bellies are full of meat straight of the grill. The kids are running around in their swimsuits gearing up for the nightly festivities that include desserts, swimming and fireworks. Of course, the grownups are excited about these things as well but probably more so that they finally have some downtime and a long weekend ahead.
Whether we are celebrating at home or someone’s house, I know for sure that I will be bringing these Whipped Cream Berry Bites. I tested them out this past week and they were a family favorite for sure. It’s not often that my kids and husband ask for a dessert multiple times throughout the day because they want more.
These Berry Bites are easy to put together and they even support the red, white and blue Fourth of July theme, which is perfect for any party. All you need are the ingredients to make your homemade whipped cream; I won’t judge if you cheat and buy the store bought kind. Plus Athen’s Mini Fillo Shells to hold everything into place and it also makes sharing easier with this dessert. Lastly is the fruit, which are strawberries and blueberries to stick with the red, white and blue holiday.
Feel free to customize these Whipped Cream Berry Bites to your liking but I can promise that this version won’t disappoint.
In a large mixing bowl beat the cream, sugar and vanilla until soft peaks form. (Approx. 3-4 minutes on high speed) Using a spoon scoop a little of the whipped cream into the Mini Fillo Shells. Top with a mixture of strawberries and blueberries.
