Today marks the first official day of grilled cheese month. Yes, there is such a thing and I’m super excited about it. I decided to host a grilled cheese party at my house to help kick it off.
It’s been a while since I’ve thrown a small dinner gathering at our house. This one was so incredibly easy and everyone got to make their own personal gourmet grilled cheese.
I teamed up with President cheese to discuss the “Art of Cheese.” It doesn’t get much better than just having a whole party dedicated to it. Just recently I fell in love with brie cheese. I’ve always avoided this cheese and now I’m trying to figure out why it’s almost taken me 30 years to love it. I wanted this cheese to be the main star following the bread, meats and fixings.
Grilled Cheese Party List:
Other items you could include
(My grilled cheese sandwich)
Everyone went down the line to prepare their sandwich and then went to our grilling station where Shaun’s dad was flipping and grilling the sammies.
This brie pesto bread is the perfect start to any grilled cheese sandwich. Now you just have to choose your fillings. Entertaining with your friends and family members can be fun and they will love a gourmet grilled cheese party!
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Slice baguette in half lengthwise. Brush the butter on each piece and top with pesto.
Cut the Président® Brie into small chunks and place on the top of each bread slice.
Place the bread on baking sheets and bake for 10-15 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Slice into 2 inches pieces.

MmmmmmmMMM! Is it an April Fools’ joke that you avoided brie until just recently? The combination of brie and pesto looks oh so good. I’m actually going to be eating a BBQ chicken grilled cheese sandwich (leftover from a grilled cheese restaurant!) for lunch. Happy to celebrate!
Ummm I would be at a grilled cheese party in a heartbeat. Yes yes yes. Oh, and I<3 brie.
A super idea! I did this once for a b-day party and it was very well received.
Brie+Pesto=perfection.
What an awesome theme for a party!! I had no idea there was a grilled cheese month (although that doesn’t surprise me, since there’s a day/week/month for practically every food imaginable). Yours looks especially delicious!
