An open letter to my parents.
Dear Mom and Dad,
As a child I remember all the fun I had on Christmas and summer breaks. The last bell would ring at school and I would run out of school just knowing that there was fun to be had at home. I would beg for sleepovers, swimming pool parties, TP fun (toilet papering), summer and Christmas trips and of course keeping busy at home. Probably making a big mess out of something you just cleaned. Not once did I ever think about your thoughts on the whole break thing. Now that I have three kids at home I owe you an apology.
A BIG ONE!!!
I’m praying for school to start back up for my kids and it’s only day one of Christmas break. There excitement is contagious but all I really want it to see the back of my eyelids and for someone else to feed them. Yes, it’s true that payback does happen in life and I feel like I’m finally starting to see it.
Baths, what’s that? Makeup you won’t see that on me. Pajamas are usually on until lunchtime so Mr. Postman don’t judge when I come to the door. I just finished cleaning the 10th diaper of the day, barely just cleaned the kitchen from breakfast, it’s possible that kids still have on their pj’s but there is a ton of excitement about being home from school.
One last thing… when do you want to keep your grandkids? They are available the next two weeks.
Love,
Your daughter
In honor of my open letter and having a toast to Christmas break I’m sharing this awesome Tex Mex Mule drink.
ENJOY ~ Meagan
Combine all ingredients into a large bowl.
Add ice to copper mugs and then pour liquor mixture over it. Top it off with lime slices.

We need to get together soon and have one of these! Cheers!
My daughter woke me up at 5;30 this morning for the day so after guzzling a gallon of coffee all day long, I’m ready for one of these tonight!
These look awesome! I’ve seen a lot of variations on the Moscow Mule, but I think that this might be the first I’ve seen that uses tequila. Yum!!
We always have ginger beer (and tequila) at home so I don’t know why I’ve never thought of mixing these together. Great idea!
Yes, please!! I would love it if you would link this up to Tipsy Tuesday at Grey is the New Black.
How did you make the Habanero Lime Syrup?? Thanks
You can buy it at a liquor store in the simple syrup section.
