Adults deserve a frozen treat every now and then too. These Strawberry Rosé Ice Pops are easy to make and are the perfect summertime pick me up.
My weekend life involves trips to the nearby lake with the family and regretting the decision to not lather up with sunscreen. You would think that I would surely learn by now that I will indeed turn beet red and that it will never turn into a tan.
LIKE EVER.
I don’t know about you, but when we all return home from the lake the munchies settle in. It’s like we haven’t eaten in forever and we are all ravenous for food and possibly a nap afterward.
One night this past weekend I made a simple syrup using some strawberries that I had on hand. Poured the juices into a bowl and then added in some Llano Estacado Signature Rose. I’ve been wanting a frozen Rose drink for a while but decided why not make it into Rose pops instead. These adult rose ice pops are a fun afternoon pick-me-up treat.
I teamed up with Llano Estacado Winery, based in my hometown, to bring you this delicious snack. This rose is fruity, aromatic, food-friendly and just a great overall beverage for any warm Texas evening.

Add strawberries, sugar and water to a pot on medium/high heat. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15 minutes or until strawberries are tender. Strain the juices through a fine-mesh cheesecloth into a large bowl. Pour in the wine and vanilla. Divide the mixture into ice pop molds leaving a little space at the top for expansion during the freezing process. Freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
