I can’t believe I am writing about our little girl being 5 months old. Well she turned 5 months old about a week ago and I am just that late in getting this post out there. It seems I have been a week or two behind in the these posts so technically they are right on time with the rest of you.
A lot has happened since our last post at 4 months. She started to roll over on to her belly and a week later she was rolling back the other direction. Now when we put her on her back she immediately rolls to her belly. In fact she despises being on her back.
Two weekends ago she traveled for the first time on an airplane. We flew from Texas to Milwaukee for a five day trip. Olivia did so well on all the flights except for the very last one. We were “those” parents with the screaming/crying baby for 10 minutes before the plane even took off. I can’t explain the emotions a mother goes through when your child is crying and people are looking at you to make them stop. Seriously, I couldn’t feed her or do anything to make her happy. My face was red from embarrassment and I wanted to cry right along with her. After that trip I told my husband that I wanted to start sitting by parents with kids just so that I could reassure them that someone cares about them and what they are having to go through.
One week after our trip little Livi started to act sick. Her temperature one night got up to 101 and I can’t tell you how fast we both reacted to the spike in fever. At five months she has already battled with her first ear infection. Let me tell you they are not FUN! Once she was feeling better we decided to try out cereal for the first time. I have decided to make all of her food and to keep her away from processed food for as long as I can. There is nothing wrong with other moms doing it but this is something I wanted to set out to try. Two days in to cereal I think she has eaten about 1 tsp total. Not sure if I am doing something wrong or if she just doesn’t want it.
Livi is starting to be quite the fashionista. She has her first pair of heart sunglasses. In the photo above you can see she is already trying on bracelets. Apparently she wants to bring back ankle bracelets. This next week I will be traveling alone to Disney World for a conference. Her Noni gave her this minnie mouse for Christmas but after this next week I’m sure she is going to be showered in Disney gifts.
This weekend we will have my side of the family along with Shaun’s in town for her baptism! We can’t wait to share those photos with you.
Adorable!! Really she is beautiful!
She is so so cute! Love her cheeks!
Adoooooooooorable! I loooove her accessories!!!
I traveled across the Atlantic with a little baby… we spent 14 hours on a plane… believe me when I say that I know how you feel. And people just stare. I told one lady not to forget that she once was a screaming, kicking baby.
Neither one of my girls liked the cereal. I could never get past a teaspoon or two. Around 7 months, I mixed it in their food and they had no idea. 😉
ohhhhhhhh Livi is just tooooooooo cute!
She is so cute! I love that big pink bow!
She is the CUTEST!!! And her outfit is amazing!
Thank you!
My wife and I wanted a romantic getaway somewhere in Greece, and we were looking for a quiet, luxurious place to stay. I came across https://portothea.aktis.villas, and it had exactly what we were dreaming of. The site shows beautiful villas with breathtaking views, and they explain all the available amenities in detail, like private pools, beach access, and even options for in-villa dining. They also mention nearby spots to explore and activities to do, which was helpful for planning the trip.
It’s so fun watching little ones hit their milestones—five months is such an exciting age! Every day, it seems like there’s something new they’re discovering. But let’s be real, finding the right products to support them during these early stages can feel overwhelming. From formula to baby essentials, you want to make sure you’re choosing what’s best for them. That’s why I’ve come to really appreciate Bobbie for their commitment to quality and customer care. It’s been a lifesaver during those moments when you need reliable options and don’t have time to second-guess your choices.
Not long ago I was looking for a couple of products in a children’s store, and funboy customer service helped me a lot. When questions arose about delivery and product features, the staff quickly and thoroughly explained everything. It’s very nice that such stores put customer care first. Especially when it comes to children, you want to be sure that everything you buy is safe and meets expectations. Overall, I was pleased with the service!
