Appetizers should be SIMPLE especially around the holidays. Make these Mascarpone Apple Appetizers for your next holiday gathering. In partnership with the Michigan Apple Committee.
With the holidays right around the corner, I know most of us are busy planning and prepping for our holiday meals. This year for Thanksgiving we will be spending time with my family and then for Christmas, we will be hosting my husband’s family in our new home.
There’s something about planning a big meal where you want everything to be just right. One tradition is to make baked ziti every year for Christmas. I also love a good Mexican themed meal that includes enchiladas, fajitas, queso and you can’t forget the margaritas. As I put my Christmas planning on hold, I’m sharing this Mascarpone Apple Appetizer recipe with you today on behalf of the Michigan Apple Committee.
Appetizers should be simple to make while you put the elbow grease in the main entree. These Mascarpone Apple bites can get the party or gathering started off right. All it takes it a baguette, mascarpone cheese, Honeycrisp apples (my favorite), and some honey. If you want to go one step further include some pecan or walnut pieces.
A few years ago I was fortunate enough to visit the Michigan apple orchards. Michigan is the third largest apple production state in the nation with apples available year-round due to the controlled atmosphere storage. If you live in Texas, you can find Michigan apples at your local Costco or H-E-B stores.
