This past year I told you about the company Stitch Fix. If this is your first time to hear about it let me tell you a little bit about the company and how it works. Stitch fix is an online shopping site that will send you 5 pieces of clothes (shirts, jackets, cardigans, jewelry, jeans, skirts, dresses and shorts) to try on in the comfort of your own home. You get to try on the pieces and decide which ones you like or want to return. They provide you a prepaid returned bag for the items you decide to ship back and you get to keep the ones that you love. I personally like this idea because I get to see what I have in my closet at the time and if it would pair with something else.
Now on to how it works….
You sign up at their website Stitch Fix and answer a questionnaire about personal sizes, price point that you are comfortable with and clothes that seem to interest you. After filling out the questionnaire you pick your delivery date. You can pick it bi-monthly or whenever you feel like you need a good shopping fix. I prefer to pick when I need clothes instead of getting it monthly. When you pick out the date you can also let your “personal” stylist know what you might need in that package.
If you are going on a trip you might say nice dresses and outfits or fun jewelry. This past shipment I wanted some fun summer clothes and thats exactly what I received. Now I typically don’t buy everything and I try to pick out the best outfits or clothes that would suit me and my lifestyle.
The day your package arrives you get 3 business days to try everything on to see if you want to keep it or not. They send a cute card with all of your clothing selections and different ways to pair the outfits. You get charged $20.00 for every shipment sent to your house but if you buy clothing from them you get to put that money towards one of the pieces of clothing.
I’ve listed the 5 pieces that I received and the ones that I kept and the reason I returned the other choices.
This shirt gathers on the side and is very flattering for my body type. It’s a definite keeper in my book.
I’ve tried on a ton of white pants in the past couple of years and they are all see-through. These are not so they are a definite keeper. Plus my husband really liked them on me.
I really liked this color on me but decided to pick just two items so it got returned. Sad day!
I really liked this shirt but I couldn’t justify the $78 price tag for a tank top. Sorry it got returned as well.
Well not a lot to say about this dress. It’s just not flattering and it was stuck to me. I didn’t want to post a picture but decided to let you see it all today.
Disclosure Policy: I am in no way affiliated with Stitch Fix. I was not paid to write this review and I purchased the items with my own money. Referral Link included.
Love the top. So cute. I’ve been on the fence on StichFix. May try it now.
My daughter absoultely loves them. I signed up last week and get my first shipment next week. Looking forward to seeing the quality and selection they send.
I seriously need to sign up for Stitch Fix! And that bottom dress, seriously gorge on you!!
I liked the last dress!! I think it looks really good! I also like the white pants… I have yet to get myself a pair.
gahhh I’m so jealous of all you Stitch Fix-ers!
I want to love SF so badly! It’s a great idea to have someone help get me out of my comfort zone about clothing and to even have a second eye to find something I might like. I went over my profile about a million times, included a style board from Pinterest, and even then there were only one or two items that really struck my fancy. Of those items, I kept zero because it was $88 for a pair of paper thin jeans and $125 for a terry blazer. I ended up keeping a $32 necklace because it was the cheapest thing, and I sort of liked it (I got a bunch of compliments on it, admittedly).
Because I got a bit of referral cash a few weeks ago so I scheduled a second fix to see if SF will redeem itself, so I’m cautiously optimistic about it. Fingers crossed that it’s better next time!
I absolutely LOVE that first shirt! Great pick!
I agree with the others! That dress looks great on you! But if it didn’t feel good then you made the right choice.
I get my 12th fix next month. Hope I get some items as cute as these 🙂
