Growing up I remember weekend trips to the nearest town to go shopping. In the mall parking lot was a Red Lobster and after a day full of shopping we would stop to eat before heading home. It wasn’t the seafood that I was addicted to. Of course it was their cheesy garlic biscuits that had everyone and their dog coming back to the restaurant for more. Shamelessly I remember my mom always asking for more biscuits just so she could stuff them in her purse for a side dish later that week.
My love for these biscuits has always been there and it was finally time for me to recreate them myself. With the help of some herbs, butter, cheese and bisquick mix you can do the same. It’s crazy to think how easy these are to make and yet how well they taste.
If you happen to have leftovers like my family.. all you need to do is place them in a freezer safe zip loc bag and pop them into the freezer until ready to use. Set them out for about 5 minutes and then pop in the microwave until tender approx. 25-30 seconds.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
In large mixing bowl stir together the bisquick mix, garlic powder, and cheese. Slowly add in the milk. Scoop the mixture into a small ball and place on a non-stick baking sheet or silicone mat. Place the dough balls about an inch apart on the sheet.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
Melt butter in the microwave and then add oregano and garlic salt. Brush the tops of the biscuits with the butter mixture and place back in the oven for another 3-5 minutes or until golden brown.
Served best when hot or store in freezer for up to a month in air tight container.
