I’m all about the food on this website and very rarely do I ever create a beverage post. It is always a challenge to come up with a drink but I LOVE having to think outside of the box. Alcohol comes in so many different flavors and choices. You have your wine, beer, whiskey, vodka, tequila and many more. I feel like my taste changes all the time in what I prefer to drink. There is your social drink and then your occasional dinner beverage.
We have ONE more week until the summer officially ends. Since I am still in denial that it is officially over I created a summer alcoholic drink to wash away my tears. You know you want to join me! In fact, this drink came in handy this weekend while we were unpacking the home. I don’t need movers I need someone to just come into my home and unpack every single box. When you find someone please let me know. This past summer when I was pregnant I craved a frozen strawberry lemonade. It’s a different year and summer, so I bring you this adult strawberry lemonade.
For the Ice If you use a muffin tin flip the pan over and run warm water over the bottom for about 10-15 seconds. Flip the pan back over and remove the circle strawberry ice. For the Drink
Puree the strawberries in a food processor. Add in the lemonade and blend until well mixed. Pour the mixture into an ice cube tray or use a mini muffin pan. Freeze for at least 3 hours.
Place all liquid into a pitcher and stir. Pour into cups and top with two frozen strawberry circles or cubes.
(When strawberry puree melts it will sit on the top for a pretty presentation.)
