Summer is definitely here and the heat is on!
Our household packed up for the weekend and went to my sister’s house outside of Austin to relax and go swimming. Not only did we get to relax in the pool all day with my niece and nephews but we got to eat ribs and chicken. These ribs were AMAZINGLY good and came from my brother in laws Big Green Egg. I keep telling Shaun that maybe we can get him one for Christmas or his birthday but to be honest I think I want it more than he does. Ok, ok we probably want it equally but you don’t see many women out there requesting for their husbands to get them a smoker or BBQ grill. I also want an outside pizza oven but I doubt that will ever happen.
My sister loves to come up with new and exciting drinks. She usually creates a twist to a great classic. Today we are taking a different approach to the traditional margarita. You might be skeptical once you read the ingredients, but don’t be scared to try new things. Unfortunately I was not able to sip or try this recipe but everyone in my household agrees that they love this margarita!!!! I can’t wait to try it.
ENJOY!
In a blender, combine:
Juice from 5 fresh squeezed limes
The tequila, triple sec, watermelon vodka, avocado, and agave nectar.
Add ice to fill the blender.
Blend until smooth.
Margarita will be thicker than a traditional “on the rocks” margarita but not as thick or cold as a frozen margarita.
Pour in a salt-rimmed glass and top with a lime wedge.

Wow. I have had many versions of the margarita, but I have never even thought about adding an avocado…… really? That is just so strange to me that I might have to try it!
Wow, cool! I bet the avocado gives it really nice texture. So creative!
Gee! I never thought avocado can be enjoyed in a margarita. The creaminess of this refreshing summer mix is so thrilling and I so love it! Can’t wait for the weekend. Will definitely try…
