One week to go until I’m officially a parent of a Kindergartener. Am I in freak out mode? Yes, because who wouldn’t be their first go around with a child. So many things to think about like drop off lines, drop off times, pick up, playing with kids and school lunches. Until this baby comes I’ve decided that I’m going to try my hardest to make his school lunches. I’m sure I will lose this battle once the little man arrives in November. Mama is going to want all the sleep she can get.
This Hummus Chicken Salad wrap would be perfect for a packed school lunch or just lunch for myself. In fact Chicken Salad is one of my favorite sandwiches of ALL TIME and this time I skipped out on the mayo and added plain hummus. It’s such a simple salad with minimal ingredients. Six ingredients and that’s including the salt and pepper.
Now on to my next favorite part is the bread. I’m a bread girl and I always will be. It’s literally in my blood and I would choose extra bread at dinner instead of dessert. For these wraps I went with Toufayan Bakeries Multigrain Wraps. They have so many different options but this multigrain is one of my favorites. Toufayan also offers gluten free options with these wraps as well as different products. You can get pita chips, pita bread, tortillas, croissants and so much more.
If you happen to have any leftover hummus chicken salad just store it in the refrigerator for up to a week.

I love the idea of using hummus in place of mayo – extra flavor and extra protein! This looks way better than the lunches I used to pack for school. I’m looking forward to trying this!
Chicken salad is without a doubt one of my favorite sandwiches of all time as well. It blows every single deli sandwich out of the water. Love these!
Yum! I love hummus and putting it in a wrap is so reminiscent of a pita 🙂
I’ve got a massive amount of hummus in my fridge – I never thought about adding it to a chicken wrap! And wholesome wraps are totally the shizzzz!!
Bring on the hummus! Also, ditto what Megan said. Move over mayo, hummus is where it’s at!
That looks awesome!
