We just finished celebrating the holidays with my side of the family and we will be celebrating Christmas with Shaun’s side this Saturday. With all the hustle and bustle that has been going on it has been nice to sit back and relax with Shaun while he is home from work for a couple of days. It’s also been pretty chilly lately and we devour hot cocoa and hot apple cider in our house like its water. We pop a k cup into a Keurig machine and within a minute I have my drink ready for me.

We decided to take it up a notch this season with a fun DO-IT-YOURSELF (DIY) hot chocolate bar featuring Frangelico liqueur. Bring a couple of your neighbors, family members or closest friends over to your house and impress them with this easy set up. It literally took me less than 5 minutes to get everything ready.

The fixings that I had for the hot chocolate bar are as follows: 
– Mini Marshmallows
– Chocolate Mint Marshmallows
– Peppermint M&M’s
– French Vanilla Pirouette
– Cookies N Cream Kisses
– Frangelico Hazelnut Liqueur

For the kids you can just remove the alcohol but for the adults you will love this flavor with the hot cocoa. Just add a little splash or two to your hot cocoa stir with a spoon and top with your fixings of choice. You can also add caramels or any type of syrup to the mix. My favorite combo is hot chocolate + Frangelico + mini marshmallows + cookies n cream kisses = my complete happiness. I placed all of the toppings into some mason jars and placed a sticky label onto the jar describing the item. I did not press the label down all the way so that it was easy to remove once the DIY hot chocolate bar was over.
