If you follow me on Instagram you would have noticed that I was vacationing in Santa Fe, NM for an EARLY anniversary trip with my hubby. We had an amazing trip allowing us to eat, shop and site see through the gorgeous artsy town. Typically when I get home from a trip its after dinner or we pick something up so we don’t have to worry about dishes or cleaning up a mess. We arrived home pretty early in the afternoon so I knew dinner would be up to me.
I’m not embarrassed to admit that I had my fair share of hamburger helper dinners while growing up. My parents would leave for a function and my sister and I would be in charge of dinner. If it was up to my sister to make dinner you could count on hamburger helper or her taco salad recipe. I’m almost 30 years old and I haven’t had hamburger helper in over 15 years and I can’t say I miss it all that much. This cheeseburger gnocchi recipe reminds me of the simplicity of those dinners along with the cheeseburger and pasta twist.
The best part about a quick dinner is that I had all of the ingredients except for the beef. Quick store trip and 20 minutes later dinner was served for our family and it didn’t come from a box. I even had the time to take and edit photos, so that I could spend more quality time with the little one before bedtime.
I can’t wait to share the details of our fabulous trip to Santa Fe in the next week or so.

Oh funny how I use to love Hamburger Helper as well. Thinking how much I use to make it in college and live off of it all week. I can’t remember the last time I had it either and I am perfectly okay with that. But this dish I am all over. I am sucker for gnocchi and with hamburger – something new to me so I can’t wait to try it. Pinned!
So much epic awesomeness in this dish!! And I am so glad you had a blast in Santa Fe!
Loved the pictures from your trip! Can’t wait to hear more the details!
This dish is just the kind of recipe I like to have on hand for busy nights! It looks great!
Comfort food at its best! I like that you chose to use gnocchi, really adds a nice touch.
Wow, this looks fantastic! My boyfriend loves gnocchi, but I’m always hard-pressed to figure out ways to eat it, besides just tossing some marinara sauce on top. This looks like a great, quick dinner option, and I’m looking forward to trying it! 🙂
I love gnocchi. This looks so delicious!
This looks amazing, I could eat that entire pan!
This type of a recipe is such a MAJOR family pleaser. Something about nicely spiced, meaty cheesey one pan dishes that is comforting.
Adding the gnocchi was an inspired idea! I like it.
I’ve never had Hamburger Helper and something tells me this is SO SO much better. It looks like pretty much my ideal comfort food.
Happy early anniversary! It looks like you enjoyed your trip. I really wish I had this cheeseburger gnocchi for dinner tonight. It looks incredible!
This is such a great idea!
This looks really tasty. I have a ton of gnocchi in the pantry right now. I also have a bunch of ground beef in the fridge, this looks like a win to me.
This look fabulous! I can sometimes be a little funny about gnocchi, but with burger and cheese flavours I am sure I’ll love this, perfect quick dinner!
