It was three days before I hopped onto a plane for a much-needed girl’s weekend trip to Deer Valley. After months and months of negative pregnancy tests we finally had a positive one. Now I’m not one to take just one pregnancy test to confirm it. Yes, in fact I took 4 just to make sure that I was reading it correctly.
We are officially expecting a little baby in November of this year. Olivia is prepping to share her toys, which currently is not something that she likes to do. In fact everything is “MINE.” She also insists that we are having a baby sister and in 3 short weeks we will hopefully confirm a gender because I like to have everything planned out.
Now a little update on the first trimester:
If I didn’t have a toddler to keep me busy I would still be asleep. In fact I would have slept through my whole first trimester if I could have. Naps were taken with the toddler and the days she went to school I could be found sleeping on the couch next to the dogs. Morning sickness? I never had it with Olivia but I can’t catch a break with this baby. Any smell can set me off whether it’s diapers, trash, refrigerator or just walking around the house. The first couple of months I was also frigid cold all the time and I couldn’t stay warm enough. Spring allergies? You bet because I was also sick for the first month or two with allergies and would sometimes break out in a fever with a small cold.
I took two blog trips and attended a wedding and was heavily devastated that I couldn’t drink with my friends. However most of the places had AMAZING mocktails that looked just like the real drinks!
Now lets toast for a better second trimester and getting my energy back!!!
ENJOY ~ Meagan
