People always ask me if everything I make turns out perfectly. I don’t want to be rude but sometimes I have to laugh out loud. Today I took the day off to just catch up around the house and get some cooking done for Shaun and I. I started cooking around 10am and by 12:30 I had two recipes sitting in the trash.
Utter failure!!!
So, yes we all make mistakes and not everything comes out perfectly like we want. People’s taste buds are different as well. Shaun can say that he enjoys something so much and I think it tastes awful. Oh the joys of cooking and trying out new things.
After the other two recipes failed I decided to try a new batch of cookies. Only when I started making them did I realize that I was out of regular flour. Hence the reason for using whole wheat flour for this recipe. This is where you really learn to improvise and come up with new recipes.
Tomorrow, my niece Keelyn will be making her first official post ever on A Zesty Bite and she couldn’t be happier, so stay tuned.
ENJOY!
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
In small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside. In large mixing bowl beat butter, sugar, vanilla, eggs, and milk until creamy. Then slowly add in the flour mixture. Beat until everything is incorporated. Stir in the morsels, caramel and toffee bits. Spoon a little mixture onto baking silicone mats or onto cookie sheets spacing every two inches.
Cook for 10 minutes or until cookies are slightly brown. Let them cool for about 2 minutes before placing on wire racks.
