Cabbage Patch, love it, I had one of the dolls an uncle gave me. Funny.

I made this soup for dinner tonite and it was delish. I sorta tweaked a bit, I added 1 cubed zucchini, 1 med cubed potato, 1 cup sml pieces of broccoli, and a handful of sml shell pasta. Also I used a can of pinto beans instead of the beans in your original recipe. I turned out so darn good. Thank you for your recipe. I hope you don’t mind that I tweaked it. Ta da!

I recently decided to recreate the same dish, but with a modern twist—using kitchen appliances—and, of course, everything didn’t go as planned: the blender got stuck, and the mixer refused to work. I had to look up the best kitchenaid phone number to figure out what was going on. Funny enough, while I was waiting for a response, the stew had time to steep and turned out absolutely incredible. Sometimes even breakdowns enhance the flavor—if you approach them with patience and humor.

I love how recipes can bring back memories, especially when they remind me of my childhood favorites. When I read about this Cabbage Patch Stew, I couldn’t help but think of my own dolls and the good times spent with them. You can find similar nostalgic vibes on this site: spin bara. Cooking something like this stew makes me feel connected to those days, and I bet the comforting aroma would draw anyone in. It’s amazing how certain dishes can evoke such strong feelings and connections to our past, isn’t it?
