Valentine’s Day is just over a week away! The truffle tart has been made and sampled, heart cupcakes are ready for school parties but where are the flowers? I’m a woman that loves fresh flowers. I don’t necessarily need to receive them for Valentine’s Day but I do like having them in my home each week.
This past weekend I brought out some spare mason jars and the spray paint to complete this mason jar craft. I attempted several times with chalkboard paint but I didn’t like the finished product. Chalkboard paint is a new favorite of mine but it just didn’t cooperate with MY mason jars. I brought out my spray paint to see what it would do and I immediately fell in love with the look.
Next up I attempted to write on the jars with paint and stencil. However I think it took away from the overall look that I was going for which was simple and elegant. Last minute I added a pink/magenta ribbon to compliment the pink peonies. The ribbon just slips on and off and you can change it with the addition of new flowers.

Directions:
Spray the jar lightly outside rotating to cover all sides. Let it air dry for about 3-4 minutes and then repeat. You will want about 4 coats on the jar. Let it dry and then rinse out the jar.
Place a ribbon around the outside and then add fresh flowers and water.
That is adorable! I love how it came out 🙂
