Every time I turn on my computer it reaches the MSN.com home screen. It usually reads top places to find the best burger, top news stories or some celebrity that has caught the latest attention of the paps.
After catching up on the news in 5 minutes my attention directly goes to the food section. I mean who wouldn’t love to have the job of going around and trying out the best burgers, best pizzas, best bars, best ice cream joints and so on.

Maybe I should start a mission in my own city to see what happens besides my pants getting a litter tighter. I think I will start off with breakfast tacos.
It’s all about comfort food with me. That’s why I’m talking about this slow cooker green bean casserole with you today. Everyone including me has made green bean casserole about a hundred different ways. You have the classic version, this one with mashed potatoes in the center and now this slow cooker version.
This past Sunday we had a huge BBQ cookout with a pit and everything right in front of our house. We invited my husband’s family and some of our neighbors to help us out with this feast. My husband took care of the ribs, chicken, sausage and I was to take care of the sides. I forgot to mention that I woke up sick so I was trying to pick something that was easy to make but would still grab the attention of everyone’s hungry stomach.
Slow cooker green bean casserole for the win and I also made this German potato salad where the flavor was spot on.
ENJOY ~ Meagan
Place all of the ingredients except for 1/4 cup french fried onions into a slow cooker. Mix the ingredients and cook on high for 3 1/2 hours. Remove from slow cooker and place in casserole dish. Top with remaining french fried onions before serving.
TIP: Use a slow cooker liner for easy clean up.

Can I join you on that epic food journey? All in the name of “research”! Love that this is in the slow cooker. Way to free up the oven!
Green bean casserole is one of my all-time favorites, and I’m so glad that I’m not the only one who makes this beyond the holiday season. I’ve never had green bean casserole with cheese – it looks delicious!
Slow cookers never cease to amaze me. What can’t they do! I want a big spoonful of this comfort food STAT!
I love that you add cheese to your green bean casserole – it totally kicks it up a notch. This looks so gooey and delish!
Surprisingly, the first time I had green bean casserole was this past Thanksgiving. Traditionally, my mom simply makes plan beans with slivered almonds; however, my boyfriend’s mother makes the casserole. I tried it and was in love. I wanted more. 🙂 This is perfect. I can’t wait to try it on my own.
