On Memorial Day our little princess turned 6 months. WHAT?!? Believe me I know, I’m still asking the same question. Time is flying by really quickly with her but we are loving every day because it’s always something new. Olivia can make the same noise 20 times a day and it never gets old with either one of us. We are truly smitten with our daughter. I mean wouldn’t you be too if you saw this face every day.
About 3 weeks ago we started her out on cereal. I decided to make all her food myself. Low blow to my food blogging self esteem, she will only eat vegetables that come out of the packet. I’ve made green beans and carrots and she spits both of them out. She loves green beans and carrots if they come out of the packet. Am I missing something here?
I know this post is supposed to be all about our lovely daughter Olivia, but I had to include some photos of the dogs. She absolutely adores the dogs and wants nothing to do with us if they are around which is basically ALL THE TIME.
This is Bubba. Bubba loves his ball and Livi, but mostly his ball.
This is Molly. Molly spent the last couple of weeks with us while her mom was in session with the State of Texas. Molly likes to play with Bubba.
Our other dog Bella was a loner this past weekend and wanted nothing to do with us and stayed in her crate basically all weekend long.
Now back to our daughter.
What’s Olivia Up To:
Eating solids – she has tried and liked green beans, carrots, sweet potato, winter squash
Rolling all over the floor
Has two teeth coming in
Already had an ear infection – boo
Enjoys the outdoors
Loves bath time and her water toys
Sleeps through the night on her belly
Will reach out her arms now to be held (that melts my heart)
ohmygoodness she’s so darling!!!
Thanks Katrina.
What a cutie! Crazy how fast time flies huh? I have no advice food wise as I meant to make homemade but didn’t. Good luck though!
I agree it goes by so fast.
Love that little face! Stella wasn’t a fan of my homemade green beans, peas or carrots but she liked most of my other homemade food. Just keep trying and I’m guessing when you are able to venture out into other foods, she’ll love the homemade stuff!
Thanks Kaci! Yea I’m going to keep trying homemade food but it was definitely a low blow to my ego. HAHA
She’s beautiful! I love that age, so much growing and new milestones reached around this time. Have you tried mixing in a little unsweetened applesauce with the veggies she won’t eat. I did this with my other 5 kids and it worked except for the green beans. For some reason, none of them liked the green beans 🙂
Good to know Joanie. I have introduced anything sweet yet but I will this next week. I will have to try out this tip.
Wow, time really is flying! She is too cute! I love little babies! And I am 19! I know, so weird!
Ahhhh she’s so cuuuute-I love 6 months, it’s such a great age!
and that is so weird about the packets, I have no clue.
Olivia is so precious! I was just with her “classmate” Jake this past Sunday and it was shocking to see him crawling! They grow up too fast! Hugs from Conroe, TX!
Thanks Nancy! I was shocked when I saw Jake crawling this past week.
Could she be any cuter?!
