Ingredients:
2 lbs. beef stew meat
1 Tbsp canola oil
1 1/2 cups water
1 lg onion, sliced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 bay leaf
2 tsp salt
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground pepper
3 carrots, quartered
3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 lb boiling onions (instructions on these at the bottom)
Preparation:
Add stew meat to large dutch oven with oil and brown
Add the next 8 ingredients bring to a boil
Then reduce heat to a simmer
Cover and cook for 1 1/2 hours and stir occasionally
Then add carrots, potatoes, boiling onions and cook for an additional 30 minutes
Remove bay leaf and then serve

*Boiling onions ~ Bring a small pot of water to boil add whole onions; cook for 3 minutes and then place them in a cold bowl of water; let them sit in the water for a couple of minutes; remove from water slice the ends off and squeeze the onions so that they pop out of the outer layer of the onion
